Falmouth Recognized as a National 'Beacon of Excellence@

The National Association of Local Councils have judged Falmouth to be one of the best Councils in the land. The Council was runner up in the Star Council Awards.
The Association Chair Ken Browse said that the awards were a platform to celebrate the most pioneering work by local councils. The judges have been hugely impressed with the quality of work being done in local councils across the country.

Seagull Proof Sacks for Every Falmouth Resident

Falmouth Town Council has taken delivery of 11,000 seagull-proof sacks which they hope will be snapped up by local residents and will help solve the town's rubbish problem.
Thanks to a partnership with Falmouth University and the University of Exeter, the sacks are being offered free of charge to residents of Falmouth and by this weekend they should be available to collect from a number of shops.
