The Mayor recently welcomed members of Falmouth Sports Club to the Mayor’s Parlour to present them with the Councillor Geoffrey Evans CC, Mayor of Falmouth, Trophy.
Cliffy Voller, Chairperson of Falmouth Sports Club said ‘Falmouth Sports Club is honoured and delighted with the beautiful trophy which was donated to the club from the Mayor, Geoffrey Evans. The trophy will be presented to the winner of either a squash or Racketball competition. On behalf of the committee and members, I would like to thank the Mayor for his generosity.’

Kimberley Park has for the second year running received a prestigious Green Flag Award in 2013.
The national award by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces across the county. Town Clerk Mark Williams said ‘A Green Flag flying is a sign to our residents and visitors that the Park boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.’
The Estates & Development Services team of Falmouth Exeter Plus – the exempt charity established by Falmouth University and the University of Exeter to deliver their shared Higher Education services in Cornwall – has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Estates Team of the Year category of the prestigious Times Higher Education Leadership & Management Awards 2013, the winners of which will be announced in London next week.
