Notice of Vacancy - Falmouth Town Council

Due to ill health, Gerald Chin-Quee has resigned from Falmouth Town Council. This means a vacancy has arisen for a Falmouth Town Councillor in Penwerris Ward. Please see below for the official Notice of Vacancy from Cornwall Council.

If you live in Penwerris Ward and would like to have a by-election to fill this Councillor Vacancy, you need to request this in writing from the Proper Officer at Cornwall Council by Friday 28 August 2024.

If at least 10 residents of Penwerris Ward request a by-election by 28 August, this will take place no later than 30 October 2024.

If no requests are received or the number of requests is less than 10, then Falmouth Town Council can co-opt people onto the Council.
