Surrealist women in Cornwall
Free exhibition talk at Falmouth Art Gallery
It is 100 years since the publication of the Surrealist Manifesto. During this “Centenary of Surrealism”, we are celebrating the women of this major art movement with an exhibition of their works, including important artists such as Lee Miller, Dorothea Tanning, Grace Pailthorpe, Valentine Penrose and Claude Cahun.
Focusing on the artists who lived and worked in the Duchy we are offering a free talk presented by Marcus Williamson.
Marcus Williamson is an independent researcher, journalist, database publisher and art collector, with a passion for the women of surrealism.
Surrealist Women in Cornwall takes place at Falmouth Art Gallery on Saturday 16 November from 2:30pm to 3:15pm.
