Sports Pitches & Recreation
Falmouth Town Council owns and maintains several sports pitches and recreational facilities throughout Falmouth.

Dracaena Playing Fields
Surrounding the Dracaena Centre to the east of Dracaena Avenue are several playing fields, all of which are owned, maintained and managed by Falmouth Town Council.
Made up of three pitches including a shinty field, these in-demand playing fields can be hired either for a single event or for an entire season, subject to availability.

Outdoor Gym at Dracaena
In 2021, following local consultation, Falmouth Town Council oversaw the provision of an Outdoor Gym adjacent to the Dracaena Centre. DDA compliant it has been designed to be accessible to everyone.
Free to use, it consists of:
- a 100-metre running track (which circles the equipment)
- spinning bike
- elliptical trainer
- leg press
- squat press
- abdominal bench,
- shoulder press
- chest press and pendulum twister
- street fitness system with ladders and monkey bars.
The contractors who provided and installed the equipment have also produced a free App called Proludic Sport that can help you track your fitness and get the most out of the equipment.
Trescobeas All-Weather Pitch and Recreation Area
The Council also owns and manages the Trescobeas all weather pitch and recreation area. This includes a popular mountain bike and BMX pump track (a looped trail of smooth dirt mounds for cycling around, at speed, without pedalling), which was constructed and laid by our Grounds team in 2016.
Falmouth Skatepark
Opened in July 2024, this brand-new facility at the Dracaena playing fields is free to use by wheeled sports enthusiasts of all ages.
