Get ready to set sail on the most melodious voyage of the year! Songfest 2024 is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever before, with primary schools from across Cornwall joining in a grand celebration of music and community.

This year, Songfest pays tribute to Cornwall’s rich Celtic heritage and its profound connection to the sea. The chosen theme for Songfest 2024 is “Sea Shanties.” These captivating sea songs, steeped in maritime tradition, reflect Cornwall’s enduring relationship with the vast blue expanse that surrounds it.

Under the musical direction and skilful arrangements of Angela Renshaw and Patrick Bailey, these timeless sea shanties that hold Cornwall’s Celtic heritage will connect a new generation of children to the region’s culture and past.
