We are always keen to know what our residents are doing within their own communities.  We have some fantastic projects run by amazing volunteers who are always looking for new members to help them do even more to improve Falmouth’s environment.

Reducing Waste

Plastic free Falmouth  Beach toy exchange – A Plastic Free Falmouth initiative there is a community run beach toy exchange in a disused telephone box along Cliff Road close to Castle Beach.  

Upcycle Kernow is a Community Interest Company, offering individuals, communities and businesses the opportunity to re-think resources, in a bid to create a zero waste planet, by ways of various volunteer-led projects and schemes.

​They’re offering includes hard to recycle materials drop off point, refill station, Repair Cafe and Tool Library, Community Clothes Swaps, Upcycling Workshops and Sustainable events.

Transition Falmouth is part of a movement addressing a changing climate and declining oil production. They want to involve local people to work together to find solutions by engaging the creativity, imagination and knowledge of people in Falmouth. Their aim is to create active and supportive partnerships between individuals, groups and local government.

Falmouth Food Co-op has acquired a community field outside Penryn to grow food.  Volunteers are welcome to come along to Loveland at one of their regular sessions.
