Finance & General Purposes Committee Meeting

The Finance & General Purposes Committee meets 6 times a year and is the main policy making committee of the Council. It considers the broad social and economic needs of the community and has overview of the Council’s financial systems.

Public Attendance

Finance and General Purposes committee meetings are open to the public and there is no need to register your attendance beforehand. For those attending the meeting, our reception on The Moor will be open to assist with any enquiries or directions upon arrival. Public speaking is not usually permitted at meetings of the Finance & General Purposes Committee. The only exception is when the Committee invites grant applicants to attend to answer any questions related to their application, or permission is granted at the discretion of the Chair.
