We will adapt printmaking technique to suit the age of the class.
Our print collection
We have a great collection of print to inspire the student
Some different techniques we offer:
Mono printing
A printing technique that creates a one-off image. Using a roller, printing ink and a perspex plate an image is either drawn into the ink and then a print taken from what’s left. Or a piece of paper is gently laid on top of the inked plate and an image is drawn on top of the paper transferring the ink to where the pencil marks are made.
Block printing
Using a variety of materials score and cut into a plate to create a relief print. The blocks can then be repeat printed.
Collograph
Collage an image, coat with vanish, PVA layer usually and then when dry ink up and put through a printing press.
