The Council is seeking to enhance the way it provides building/asset facilities management and environmental services; working with our partner Cornwall College there is an opportunity to take on an apprentice. You should have a passion for learning together with the will and capability to undertake a range of property maintenance & compliance testing duties as well as grounds maintenance operations, facilities cleansing, minor construction, event marshalling, with the flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required.
The 2 year apprenticeship will require you to complete a Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Level 2. On the job training will be provided by the Council and formal training by Cornwall College on a day release basis. The National Apprentice Scheme terms and conditions will apply.
Following the successful completion of the apprenticeship and with both your line manager and the Council’s staffing committee being happy with your overall performance you will be offered a full time position as a Multi-Skilled operative with property maintenance & facilities compliance responsibilities.
