Community Groups
The Princess Pavilion is proud to support over 20 community groups who meet weekly, fortnightly and monthly to knit, sew and play. Here’s a list of our groups and when they meet. Everyone is welcome to join!
AGGIE FOLK BAND
Aggie Folk Band rehearse every other week in the foyer.
Tuesdays fortnightly, 2pm – 4pm
Free to attend.
ALEX GOVIER PLAYS PIANO
Falmouth based pianist Alex Govier plays in the Garden Room.
Every Thursday afternoon.
Free to attend.
BEGINNER’S SWING DANCE CLASS
These community classes are for beginners who would like to learn to swing dance. A welcome group to all, just come along. Teachers Dougal and Caroline.
Wednesdays, 7.30pm – 9pm.
Fee is £5 per class, payable on the door.
CANCER SUPPORT GROUP
A friendly cancer support group for anyone affected by cancer or living with a cancer diagnosis.
Every second Wednesday of the month.
CHARITY STALL
Weekly charity stall, run by Sheila. Selling books, puzzles and knitted items to raise money for St Petrocs and Marie Curie.
Thursdays,10.30am – 12.30pm.
CRAFTERNOON
Weekly community craft group.
Tuesdays, 2pm – 4pm.
Free to attend.
FAL BRETON BAND REHEARSAL
Local music group who rehearse in the foyer or outside if the weather permits.
Every other Wednesday, 2pm – 4pm
Free to attend.
FALMOUTH FOOD COOP
Falmouth Food Co-Op work from the Princess Pavilion kitchen every week, offering a meal preparation service for distribution around the Falmouth area.
Thursdays.
FALMOUTH STROKE CAFE
Informal drop-in group for stroke survivors and their families/carers.
Every last Tuesday of the month, 10am – 12pm.
FIT TO WIGGLE
Inclusive dance fitness class for young people and adults.
Mondays, 11am – 12pm
FLOWING YOGA
Flowing yoga group taking place in the garden, weather dependent.
Fridays from April – October, 9.15am – 10.30am.
£8 per class payable to the class teacher.
FOURTHOUGHT SAX QUARTET
Live music in the foyer of The Princess Pavilion,
Alternate Wednesdays, 12pm – 2pm.
Free to attend.
FRIDAY FRIENDSHIP GROUP
Informal group for making friends and chatting.
Fridays, 2pm – 4pm.
GAMES CLUB
Friendship group who meet up to play games and chat.
Last Wednesday of every month, 2.30pm – 4pm
MACHINE SEWING GROUP
Weekly community sewing group.
Fridays, 10am – 1pm
FALMOUTH & PENRYN REPAIR CAFE
Learn how to repair everyday household items with the experts!
Every second Sunday, 2pm – 4pm.
SOURCE FM
Source FM is a community radio station for the people who live and work in and around Falmouth and Penryn. They run a number of different events throughout the year. Visit their website here for more details.
SQUIDLETS
Squidlets is a friendly and fun group for 0-4 year olds and their parents/carers run by Falmouth Vineyard Church.
Thursdays, 9.45am – 11.15am.
STITCH CRAFT
Weekly community sewing group.
Mondays, 2pm – 4pm.
Free to attend.
THE ARTS SOCIETY
