Could you be the voice of your community?
Local Council Elections are taking place on Thursday 1 May 2025 and all of Falmouth Town Council’s 16 seats are up for election.
If you’re passionate about making a positive change, this is your chance to stand for the Town Council and play an active role in shaping Falmouth’s future. Whether you’re focused on local services, sustainability, or ensuring the needs of all residents are heard, now is the time to contribute to our community.
Who Can Stand?
To stand for Falmouth Town Council, you must be at least 18, a British, Commonwealth, or EU citizen with the right to remain (if required), and either on the electoral register or have lived, worked, or owned property in Falmouth for at least twelve months.
No prior experience is needed – what matters is your commitment to serving the community. It is important that the Council represents a cross section of all members of our community and that Councillors have different backgrounds, knowledge, and experience.

Deadline for Nominations
Nomination papers must be submitted and returned to a designated Cornwall Council elections office by 4PM on Wednesday 2 April 2025 (details are included in the nomination papers).
