Re-Source Project
Opening in Spring 2025, the Re-Source Project is an exciting initiative to transform Kimberley Park Lodge into a dynamic community and media hub.
Overview
The Re-Source Project, led by Falmouth Town Council in partnership with Source FM, is transforming Kimberley Park Lodge into a dynamic community and media hub. Funded by Falmouth Town Council and the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme, supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), this initiative will revitalise the long-dormant lodge.
The project will create a modern, accessible space where people of all ages can connect, explore creativity, develop new skills, and engage with their community. It will also provide a new home for Source FM, Falmouth’s award-winning community radio station, ensuring its continued growth and impact.

Key Features of the Project
1. Community Coffee Bar
At the heart of the Re-Source Project will be a vibrant community coffee bar. This welcoming space will serve as a meeting point for local residents, where people can socialise, exchange ideas, and share stories. The coffee bar will foster connections between people from all walks of life and offer a space to relax and recharge.
2. Recording Studios
The project will feature three state-of-the-art studios, catering to a range of media needs and providing a new base for Source FM, Falmouth’s community radio station:
- Studio 1: A fully equipped space for live radio broadcasts and pre-recorded sessions.
- Studio 2: A dedicated podcasting and small-scale audio production studio.
- Studio 3: A flexible, multi-use space available for community workshops, performances, rehearsals, and creative projects.
These studios will support local musicians, podcasters, and media professionals, offering high-quality facilities to develop their craft. By relocating Source FM to Kimberley Park Lodge, the station will continue to thrive, delivering local content and providing training opportunities in media production. Source FM will also play a key role in delivering media skills training, equipping local people with hands-on experience in broadcasting, podcasting, and digital content creation.
3. Community Outreach and Engagement
A key element of the Re-Source Project is its commitment to community engagement. With the support of a Community Engagement Outreach Officer (see contact details below), the project aims to work closely with local schools, organisations, and community groups. The Outreach Officer will help ensure that the facility meets the needs of diverse groups, with a particular focus on providing opportunities for young people to engage with the arts, media, and creative industries.
Goals and Vision
The Re-Source Project is driven by the vision of creating a inclusive, creative, and sustainable space for the people of Falmouth and the wider Cornwall area. Key goals include:
- Fostering Creativity: Providing local residents, especially young people, with a place to explore their creativity in music, media, digital production, and performance.
- Building Skills: Offering training opportunities, workshops, and access to professional-grade equipment, helping individuals to develop valuable skills in media production and the arts.
- Community Engagement: Strengthening connections between local community groups, schools, and organisations by offering a central space for collaboration and interaction.
- Inclusivity and Accessibility: Ensuring that the space is welcoming and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
