Falmouth Town Council offers a Town Management service dedicated to fostering strong relationships between businesses and organizations, with the goal of creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment for both visitors and residents in Falmouth town centre.

Examples of some of the functions that the Town Management service provides:

  • Facilitates Communication: Coordinates between businesses, utility companies, Cormac and Falmouth Town Council to minimise disruptions caused by ongoing works in Falmouth. Also sends weekly updates on official events, road closures, utility works and other relevant information to a town-wide database of businesses and organisations.
  • Maintains Standards in Falmouth Town Centre: Collaborates with Cornwall Council, Cormac, Biffa, and other operational partners to ensure a high standard of presentation throughout Falmouth.
  • Event Support: Provides lead organisation and operational health and safety support for town events such as Tall Ships, Falmouth Week, and the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival.

  • Public/Private Partnership: Works closely with Falmouth BID as part of the Falmouth ‘Town Team’ to strengthen public/private partnerships for the benefit of the town and its businesses. This includes the recent Falmouth Safe and Secure Initiative, promoting enhanced cooperation and communication between local businesses, the Police, the new Falmouth Street Ranger service, Cornwall Council and Falmouth CCTV operators to tackle the rise in anti-social behaviour and low level crime in Falmouth.
  • Filming Permissions: manages filming permissions for public spaces within Falmouth.
  • CCTV Oversight: oversees CCTV monitoring for Falmouth and handles related requests (see our CCTV page).
  • Markets on the Moor: manages the twice weekly Falmouth Markets on the Moor and grants licences to traders.
  • The Moor: manages activities and promotions on The Moor.
