Falmouth authors set up children’s writing competition

The children of Falmouth have been offered an opportunity to work alongside professional writers in a special workshop on May 1st.
Authors Emily Barr and Craig Green have teamed up to set up Barrington Green, an organisation that provides writing workshops for children.
Ten places are up for grabs for the children aged 8-12 who can produce the most striking examples of written work about Falmouth.

'Where to get info to save money and home energy bills' 'Join the new movement to live more comfortably on less energy'

Fal Energy as a Social Enterprise has produced free energy saving information packs to help local residents save money on their fuel bills.

OneStop Shops and Libraries in Falmouth and Penryn plus the following shops in the surrounding villages have the packs for collection: Budock Village Stores, Constantine Post Office, Flushing Stores, Longdowns Petrol Station, Mabe Shop, Mawnan Post Office, Mylor Stores, Perranwell Station Post Office and Ponsanooth Post Office. Other venues will have the packs and if you are able to distribute any then please contact below.

Falmouth Twinning Association

Falmouth Twinning Association held their 2012 AGM in the council chamber with the president Town Mayor Councillor Geoffrey Evans C.C in attendance.  The popular chairman Maureen Davies was unanimously re-elected with the other office bearers willing to take on their duties for another year including Henry our mascot.
