Work Routes Branch Out In Falmouth

After helping 500 local people start working, the Work Routes Falmouth team is delighted to confirm that they are launching several new Outreach locations that will even more enable members of the public to access their service. A working partnership with Falmouth Town Council and the council’s Children and Family Services has been developed to ensure more jobseekers get the support they need to start working again. An expert Employment Adviser will be based at • Falmouth Town Council offices on Falmouth Moor from 2pm to 5pm every Tuesday

RNLI Receive the Mayor's Spirit of Falmouth Award

The Mayor, Councillor Grenville Chappel, presented the Spirit of Falmouth Award to the Falmouth RNLI for raising £100,000 for the RNLI Falmouth 150 Appeal which will be used towards the cost of improvements to the Falmouth Station ahead of the arrival of their new Atlantic Class inshore lifeboat in 2019. On receiving the award Alan Rowe announced that the total raised was now £122,000.

Cornwall Council are proposing changes to on-street parking and restrictions on waiting times on various streets in Falmouth. Britons have no sense of control over decisions that affect their lives, says new report

A new report launched today (Tuesday 23rd January) reveals a damning assessment of successive governments attempts to decentralise power and give people meaningful control. The report is published by the independent Commission on the Future of Localism, chaired by Lord Bob Kerslake, and set up by Locality, the national charity supporting community organisations, in partnership with Power to Change, the independent trust supporting community businesses in England.
